LWCCC was established in 1989 by a group of volunteers to provide support to women and their children who were experiencing domestic violence, or who were at risk of becoming homeless due to other life crises.

Youthworx
Youth Worx, was previously known as Lithgow Youth Housing. It was established in 1983 to provide medium term accommodation and support for young people aged 16-24 who have no secure and safe place to stay.

Lithgow Community Projects
In addition to the Lithgow Women and Children's Crisis Centre, Youthworx and Yawarra services, support is provided to single adults, couples and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Migay Ngaruu and Yawarra
Migay Ngaruu, meaning young women gathering honey, is an early intervention project for young Aboriginal girls and women. Yawarra, meaning taking care of, protecting, is a support project for Aboriginal women and girls in need of support around issues of domestic violence and homelessness.
