Intersection of disaster recovery, domestic and family violence and child protection: a regional & rural focus

Overview

The last two years has presented unprecedented challenges to regional and rural communities with multiple floods, a major bushfire, plagues, and an ongoing pandemic. Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is the only event of its type specifically addressing the cumulative and complex trauma due to the intersection of natural disasters and domestic and family abuse within rural and regional communities.

The aim of the conference is to provide delegates from community welfare, health and education with the resources and training they need to better understand and respond to the increased complexities encountered in their community.

The conference will also provide a vital opportunity to come together to rejuvenate, restore and resource each other on the journey to recovery.

Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is operating as a hybrid event, offering both in person and online attendance.

Hybrid Conference

Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is a hybrid conference that combines a physical event with an online component that’s streamed in real time.

Both of our in-person delegates at the conference in Lithgow, as well as our on-line delegates, will be connected virtually in real time via OnAir, a dedicated virtual conferencing platform built by Australian company EventsAir.

OnAIR provides a rich interactive experience that is easy to use, comfortable and engaging for both presenters and attendees alike. Watch a video explaining how OnAIR works. http://eventsair.com/onair

You can watch the presentations and workshops in real time and interact by asking questions and leaving comments on the OnAIR portal. You can also view the Virtual Exhibition and network with others in the Meeting Hub.
