We are committed to the continued journey of reconciliation to build, engage and strengthen our relationship the with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community.

Trauma Informed Care Conference
Deliver a 2- day conference in the Lithgow LGA focused on improving service specific and cross sectoral responses in regional communities, particularly those which have experienced cumulative and complex trauma caused or exacerbated by natural disasters.
Facilitate and explore the development of a trauma informed dignity driven framework by identifying common themes and values across sectors and agencies in order to enhance collaboration, coordination and support to affected communities.
Lithgow Cares is a collaboration of local service providers whose focus is on building a positive community, strengthening families, and enhancing the safety of community members of maintaining a strong commitment towards child protection and a reduction of domestic and family violence.
Current participants of the committee include: Lithgow Community Projects, Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre, Lithgow Council, Benevolent Society, NSW Health, Thrive Services, Housing Plus, Centacare Bathurst Hippi Program, DV West, Central Tablelands Blue Mountains Community Legal Centre and Department Communities and Justice.
The committees activities in the past have focused on delivering community awareness campaigns, undertaking community engagement activities and supporting the promotion of collaboration and best practice amongst service providers.
