Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is an unmissable opportunity to be equipped and empowered with best practice trauma and disaster recovery strategies specific to regional and rural communities.
The conference will host delegates from community welfare, health and education over two days of engaging presentations, speakers and topics.
This activity is supported by Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN), as part of the Australian Government’s response to the 2019/20 bushfires. Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of NBMPHN.

Intersection of disaster recovery, domestic and family violence and child protection: a regional & rural focus
Overview
The last two years has presented unprecedented challenges to regional and rural communities with multiple floods, a major bushfire, plagues, and an ongoing pandemic. Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is the only event of its type specifically addressing the cumulative and complex trauma due to the intersection of natural disasters and domestic and family abuse within rural and regional communities.
The aim of the conference is to provide delegates from community welfare, health and education with the resources and training they need to better understand and respond to the increased complexities encountered in their community.
The conference will also provide a vital opportunity to come together to rejuvenate, restore and resource each other on the journey to recovery.
Lithgow Trauma Informed Recovery Conference is operating as a hybrid event, offering both in person and online attendance.
