Lithgow Community Projects acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of this nation. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri People as the traditional custodians of the lands on which our organisation is located and where we conduct our business. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders, past and present. Lithgow Community Projects is committed to honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.
Lithgow Community Projects (LCP) provides support, case work, advocacy, information and collaboration with other services to single adults, families, and young people (16 +) who are homeless, at risk of homelessness and/or have experienced or are experiencing domestic and family violence.
We work from dignity driven, client lead, strengths based, trauma and culturally informed frameworks to work alongside people to achieve safe, stable housing and to live free from violence and abuse.
LCP works with a range of organisations to help those in need find appropriate housing and safe temporary accommodation.
We offer support to women and children that have experienced domestic and family violence. This support includes emergency accommodation, counselling, safety planning and finding long term housing.
Lithgow Community Projects works with various organisations and funding bodies to participate and lead community based projects that aim to educate, inform and support those in need.
We are committed to being respectful of each other’s strengths and differences. We encourage all members and staff to reflect on how their actions impact upon themselves, their decision making and their colleagues, and seek out support and development as necessary
